Zhang Jianxiang’s father:

I was diagnosed with vasculitis more than ten years ago. In 2015, my condition began to worsen, and I was hospitalized in April 2015. In July 2015, my grandfather, who often helped the father and son, passed away from overwork due to traveling between the hospital and home. Grandma is old and has almost no source of income. After my grandfather passed away, the sand and gravel factory where my grandfather worked gave my grandmother a pension of 20 months’ basic salary and 4,000 yuan in funeral expenses as her pension. This pension money (more than 10,000 yuan was spent on his grandfather's funeral) has also become the source of funds for Zhang Jianxiang's father to be hospitalized. According to the information from Zhang Jianxiang's father's attending doctor at Zhangbei County People's Hospital, Jianxiang's father can no longer be relieved by painkillers and analgesic injections. Because his toes have become severely ulcerated, he needs to be treated immediately, and a treatment plan for amputation has been given. Otherwise, he may end up with the risk of high amputation.

October 29, 2015: Wheatfield Project Beijing Branch (hereinafter referred to as "Jingmai") volunteers Alarm Clocker and Chengcheng set out early in the morning and drove to Zhangbei Hospital to pick up Zhang Jianxiang's father for examination in Beijing. With the help of Wheatfield volunteers Dayan'er and others, Zhang Jianxiang's father was admitted to Dongzhimen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and awaiting examination; the volunteers successfully made an appointment for the vascular specialist clinic of Dongzhimen Hospital on November 6.

October 30, 2015: With the help of Jingmai volunteers, the Beijing branch paid a hospitalization deposit of 10,000 yuan;

November 1, 2015: Continue the inspection and wait for the inspection results;

November 2, 2015: CT and abdominal B-ultrasound were performed in the morning. Because the pain was unbearable, I received an injection of painkillers; other examinations were performed in the afternoon;

November 4, 2015: Discuss with the doctor whether new treatments need to be tried to determine whether the treatments have the final effect on the patient;

November 5, 2015: An experiment of a new therapy was carried out. Due to necrosis of the forefoot of the left foot, the experimental results were not satisfactory, so amputation or conservative treatment was required; (The diagnosis result of the diagnostic certificate was: Thromboangitis Obliterans, half-absence of the right foot and gangrene of the toes of the right foot; Treatment or recommendation: Continue drug treatment.

November 6, 2015: Due to special circumstances, Jingmai decided to raise 30,000 yuan for Zhang Jianxiang’s father’s treatment expenses during internal discussions;

November 7, 2015: Jingmai volunteers Alarm Zhonger and others sent Zhang Jianxiang’s father back to Zhangbei Hospital;
