In order to overcome this world problem, the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the First Military Medical University Nanfang Hospital, under the leadership of Professor Pei Guoxian, director of the department, has worked hard and achieved a number of research results in tissue matching, anti-rejection treatment and other aspects, and has acquired the ability and level of surgery.

On September 20, 1999, experts such as Professor Pei Guoxian were divided into two groups to perform surgery on patients Lan and Deng who had lost their right hands. They anastomosed 2 arteries, 3 veins, 4 nerves, and 16 tendons respectively.
