Notice on Organizing and Launching the First National Wheelchair Marathon for Disabled Persons
Disabled Persons’ Federations of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Disabled Persons’ Federation, Heilongjiang Reclamation Area Disabled Persons’ Federation:
In order to improve the public service system of sports for people with disabilities, enhance the ability and level of public service for sports for people with disabilities, enrich the content of sports services for people with disabilities, and give full play to the role of specialized associations as bridges and links among the broad group of people with disabilities. With the consent of the leaders of the China Disabled Persons' Federation, it was decided to hold the first National Wheelchair Marathon Fitness Competition for the Physically Disabled and the National Fitness Project Exhibition for the Physically Disabled. The specific details of the event are now notified as follows:

5. Activity content
(1) The first national wheelchair marathon fitness competition for people with disabilities.
(2) Display of fitness projects for people with physical disabilities.

(1) Opening Ceremony in the morning of May 9th
(Two) May 9 afternoon physical examination and training

(5) All day on May 11 Closing ceremony, awards, barrier-free experience
11. Registration, check-in and evacuation
(1) Registration.
1. Method: Competitors are recommended to register by the Provincial Disabled Persons’ Federation and the Limbological Association, and registration through other channels is not accepted.
2. Quota: Each province (autonomous region, city) is limited to 4 people, including: 3 contestants and 1 team leader. There is no limit on male or female. The organizing committee will allocate participating places from various places based on the actual registration situation.
3. Requirements: Competitors must be wheelchair users and use wheelchairs provided by the organizing committee to participate in the competition. They must bring their own wheelchairs for daily use; they must be over 18 years old and under 45 years old (based on ID card time); they must be in good health and able to bear the exercise load of the marathon and complete the entire race.
(2) Check-in and evacuation.
1. Time: Please report before 16:00 on May 8th. You must bring your original ID card and disability certificate when you check in. The organizing committee will conduct a qualification review on the contestants; evacuate before 12:00 on May 12th.
2. Location: Tongcheng International Hotel, Changsha City, Hunan Province (No. 159, Shaoshan North Road, Changsha City, Hunan Province, 0731-84168888)
3. Please strictly follow the prescribed time for check-in and check-out, arrive early and delay departure, and the expenses required will be borne by yourself.
12. Other matters
(1) All participating units are requested to complete the registration process for contestants. The notice and registration form can be downloaded from the official websites of China Disabled Persons' Federation (http://www.cdpf.org.cn) and China Association of Physically Disabled Persons (http://www.cappd.org).
(2) Each participating unit should mail or email the electronic version of the participant registration form (Attachment 1), registration receipt (Attachment 2) and this year's 2-inch bareheaded color photo to the Changsha Organizing Committee before April 12.
(3) There is no registration fee for the competition. Food and accommodation expenses are borne by the organizing committee. Round-trip transportation expenses are borne by each unit. Accompanying and other supernumerary personnel are responsible for their own expenses.
(4) The organizing committee arranges pick-up and drop-off stations and does not provide ticket booking services.
(5) The competition will invite mass fitness demonstration teams for people with spinal cord injuries from Beijing (two teams), Hubei Shiyan, Jiangxi, and Shaanxi to participate in the national fitness project display event for people with physical disabilities.
